Overview of G19 Gen5 MOS
The G19 Gen5 MOS GLOCK improves the appeal of the
near-perfect Gen5 model by incorporating the benefits to the modular Optic
System (MOS). The slide is precisely manufactured to offer mounting options for
the most popular optical sights. With numerous adapter plates it is possible to
swiftly and easily add small electronic sights to back of Gen5 GLOCK slide. It
features forward serrationsfor more efficient and faster manipulation.
All of the Gen5 qualities are present in this compact-size
pistol: The latest GLOCK nDLC surface finish on the major metal components,
unmatched in hardness and rust resistance; the high traction Gen5 frame
texture, quickly reversible magazine catch, ambidextrous slide stop lever, the
GLOCK Modular Backstrap System (MBS) for individual operator adjustability, the
universally-acclaimed GLOCK Safe Action(r) System and high visibility orange
magazine followers.
The gun was struckr-fired that gave it an unidirectional
trigger pull. It was quite different from the usual double action single-action
triggers that were common during that time.
Concealed Carry
At the time the concealed carry wasn't so common across the
United States as it is now. As time passed, however concealed carry became more
prevalent within America. United States.
Glock 19 was introduced in the year 2000. Glock 19 was
launched as a smaller model from the Glock 17 with a shorter slide and a
smaller grip.
It was at the expense for two round of capacity.
It was easily concealed, yet sufficient to be used as a duty
gun with an OWB duty the holster. It was the Glock 19 one of the first guns
with a striker fired firing system to fill the gap.
Through the years, there has been many Generations of Glock.
First Glock to hit market in the US market was Glock 17 Gen
1. Glock 17 Gen 1.
History
There is a rumor that there could have been Glock Gen 1 19s
but I've not been capable of verifying this. There's a wide selection of Glock
19 Gen2s available on the market.
There's also a lot of Gen 3 Glocks as well as Glock Gen 4s
in 19 configurations.
The distinction between the generations is usually minimal,
especially from an outside perspective. For instance Gen 2 Glock Gen 2 didn't
have finger grooves. When they launched their Glock Gen 3 they added finger
grooves, as well as a light rail at the back of the cover.
Then, when they launched the Gen 4 they added the
possibility of adding additional straps behind to make the grip larger. grip.
They have changed their grip base to make it a little
smaller than the original Gen 3.
The Gen 5 was no exception to this standard. Gen 5 was the
Glock 19 Gen 5 they removed fingers grooves. Finger grooves were present in the
Gen 3 and Gen 4 models that went back to the grip with a solid design that was
present on those Gen 2 and Gen 1 guns.
Differentialities
One notable difference in Glock Gen 5 was that Glock Gen 5
was the texturing was more aggressive in comparison to previous generations.
It's about halfway between the previous models in comparison to that of the
Glock Gen 3 RTF 2 texturing.
One of my top features is that they have added their
Marksman barrel.
It's more precise than the standard Glock barrel, and
eliminates the necessity for an aftermarket barrel. If you're looking to make
your gun look more appealing or to get a threaded barrel.
If you're planning to add an elongated barrel I'd recommend
looking for an Glock OEM barrel since the Glock Marksman barrels are so
excellent.
Features
Glock 19 Glock 19 is an handgun with a capacity of 15
rounds. One of the most appealing features of this Glock 19 series is it can
take Glock 17 mags.
It is compatible with various Glock extended magazines as
well.
For Glock OEM, they make 24 round magazines and 33-round
mags. There are two extensions for 15,17, 24 and 31-round magazines.
The 31-round magazines are supplied with an extension of
two, which means that you can claim that they're 33-round magazines.
Thus, capacity options of Glock 19 are unlimited. Glock 19
are not limited in any way.
There are many aftermarket producers who produce magazines
and other products, so you're not limited with only Glock magazines.
Magwell
The normal Glock 19 Gen 5 comes with a grip that features a
cut-out for a half moon at the back part of the Magwell.
In theory , it will aid in stripping out the magazine more
easily.
If you've got some kind problem that needs to remove the mag
it's an excellent idea.
Personally, I don't like this option on Glock 19Gen 5.
Personally, I like that frame to the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS frame because it does
not include the half-moon cutout. Both frames feature a huge beveled Magwell in
the middle inside the frame.
This is an incredible aspect that puts this Glock 19 Gen 5
well over its competition in the speed reload class.
There are numerous Magwells that are aftermarket for the
majority of guns available.
The factory Glock 19 Gen 5 magwell is superior to nearly any
other magwell.
Additionally, you won't have to invest any money at all.
If you are planning to shoot a contest like USPSA which has
rules for including an aftermarket magwell, then a model like Glock 19 Gen 5 or
Glock 19 Gen 5 will fit the bill. Unfortunately Glock Gen 3 and Glock Gen 3 and
Glock Gen 4s don't have this amazing Magwell.
Grip
If you look on the internet, you will see a majority of
people discuss how much they hate their Glock 19 ergonomics.
Glock feels quite blocky.
Ergonomics
It is true that the Glock may not be the most comfortable in
your hand. However, I would admit that the absence of grooves for the fingers
is a huge improvement against those of the Glock Gen 3 and Glock Gen 4 guns.
Backstraps
The gun comes with four backstraps that can be removed that
are a medium and large, and the medium and large which adds a beavertail the
gun.
The backstraps are affixed to the typical small-sized frame
which means you have many options to choose the way you'd like to adjust the
grip that is right for your hand. In regards with Glock ergonomics I would say
that the majority of people think Glock too much time when they use the gun.
The gun's angle is made to shoot when under stress which is
why it works extremely well in situations of defense.
The majority of people would like to see an angle that
resembles the 1911 model however the majority of striker-fired firearms
available currently have adopted a design closer to Glock's angle. Glock design
angle.
Many 1911 lovers will take these other striker fired guns
and boast that they shoot better than Glock Glock or that they have more angle
than Glock. Glock however the reality is that when you compare both
side-by-side they are like the grip angle of a Glock.
For instance, if you take a look at an example of the SIG X
series, the grip angle is nearly identical to Glock guns.
There aren't anyone slandering SIG X frames. SIG X series of
frames but they do criticize the Glock guns.
Although Glock isn't the most comfortable when held however,
what it does is allow most users to have lots of leverage from the gun.
This means that you should put sufficient pressure on the
front strap as well as the backstrap to ensure that the gun is controlled in
recoil while shooting.
Do Feeling good matters?
In time's end it is the most crucial characteristic of guns.
There are plenty of firearms that offer an excellent grip
feel however, they can be a bit off and do not permit shooting as easily as
you'd like.
Another grip that's quite large and slender is the grips of
2011 style.
You don't hear anyone complain about them. A large part of
it is the price as people who purchase a firearm that costly will have to
figure out an excuse to justify their purchase.
However, another reason is that most of the shooters
shooting these guns are professional competitors who know how to use leverage
in the proper areas in the grip of a gun.
One thing I enjoy about the Glock back straps that can be
removed is that they let you increase the range of the trigger on the gun.
For those with larger hands , like me this is a fantastic
option as it gives you an improved, more consistent trigger pull.
If you're a smaller fingers, then this firearm might not be
the ideal choice.
I have medium-large size hands, the average size for a man
who is 6 feet tall. If you're someone who's smaller and shorter or just have
hands that are smaller overall it's a good idea to consider a new model such as
model like the SIG P320X Compact.
This gun is smaller in size and gives you to have more control
over the grip for those with smaller hands.
One of the nice things about one of the nice things about
Glock can be the beavertail and tang that comes with it.
Drawing
It's very ergonomic and is suitable for most people.
Although the lower part of the grip can feel somewhat blocky
and squarish but the top is extremely well-rounded, allowing many hands to
climb very high up on the gun without feeling uncomfortable.
Personally I'm not a fan the beavertail straps on the back
in the same way that they make it slightly more difficult for me to draw using
my drawing style. I prefer to hold the gun over the sight on my back when
drawing using the holster of my Glock 19 appendix carry holster.
This can slow you down when you must overcome the beavertail
too.
However, the beavertail is able to create some distance
between the hand's web and the front of your trigger. Also, I really appreciate
the extended reach of the trigger.
The jury is still out on which one I'll pick long-term over
the huge backdrop with no beavertail or the back strap that is large that has
the beavertail.
Texturing
A texturing feature on Glock Gen 5 will likely be a topic of
debate.
The reason I'm saying this is that it's quite frequent for people to purchase new guns and then decide to get the stipples custom-made. Most of the time custom stipple designs look fantastic and can really enhance the appearance of a firearm. However, I'm not convinced it's necessary. I've was able to get an one of my Glock Gen 4 guns stippled.
It was a great experience at first however, over time, the
job stipple wears out. If you frequently dry fire shoots the stipple jobs is
likely to last for about one year before you have to get it replaced.
According to me, the finest texture that was ever created
came from that of the Glock RTF 2 texturing.
It's tiny micro dots, which were used on Gen 3 guns, but it
did not gain a lot of respect on the marketplace.
Gen 3
It is true that the Glock Gen 3 guns were pretty smooth,
unless they were equipped with this texturing, however the majority of people
thought this texturing a little overly aggressive.
However, the texture did begin to wear off as time passed and
made it easier to hold against your body. And it was extremely effective while
shoot the weapon.
You can purchase an Glock Gen 3 with an RTF 2 finishing and
it does not move when held in your hands.
It's really a good texture that really lets users to shoot
with a poor grip, yet shoot efficiently.
Glock 19 Gen 5 texturing Glock 19Gen 5 texture isn't much
more aggressive than the RTF 2, but it's nonetheless quite active. It's also
one of the top texture jobs that are factory-made available.
It's not as impressive as the CZP 10C texturing, which I
believe is the top on the market.
Aggressiveness
However, it's quite great. It's likely to last for a long
time, if you give your hand enough bite to not wear out.
However, it's also soft enough to cause irritation while
using the firearm.
The overall feeling that comes from the Glock 19 Gen 5 grip
isn't the same as that of other guns if you're seeking the overall feel but it
will give you that ideal leverage over your firearm, making shooting very
efficient.
If you're a big fan of Glock ergonomics, to start with,
you'll be awed by Glock 19 Gen 5's Glock 19 Gen 5 feel and ergonomics.
If you're not then you could consider it slightly better
than those with Glock Gen 4 and Gen 3 guns.
Sights
You have a wide range of sights for this Glock 19 Generation
5. The most notable thing is that they are equipped with typical plastic Glock
sights, also called slot fillers.
They're referred to as slot fillers because you'll probably
need to replace them once they arrive.
Personally, I like the option of a slot filler since I have
my own personal preferences and what constitutes the most effective iron
sights. It's also my preference to buy the gun for as little as possible to be
able to upgrade them to iron sights.
However, if you're looking for an arsenal gun which is
equipped with the best Iron sights.
Glock has you covered and the gun comes equipped with
AmeriGlo sights, too. These AmeriGlo sights are among of the most effective
sights available in a factory firearm.
I'd recommend putting my money on Glock AmeriGlo factory
sight options among 5 of the best guns with upgraded iron sights made by the
factory.
You can most likely find a local gunsmith to swap out the
sights, and there are more sight options for Glocks than for any other gun on
the market.
MOS
One option you could look at is adding an red dot on you
Glock 19 Gen 5.
If so I'd suggest purchasing an Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS and
adding an CHWPS plate fitted to the gun, or you could get an ordinary Glock 19
Gen 5custom milled.
If you are planning to pursue this route I'd recommend
purchasing your slides separately from your frame. This way you can buy frame
that is a Glock 19 MOS frame.
This Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS frame is a lot superior to the normal
Glock 19 Gen 5 frame.
The reason for this is the cutout at the frame's front. This
is the only noticeable change, but that cutout is what really bugs me.
It is possible that you really enjoy it however I'm not
aware of many shooters who actually do.
It's true that the Glock 19 MOS does come with mounting
plates. However, it's likely that you'll have trouble getting the correct screw
length, and also managing the entire setup.
Also, I'd suggest looking at the options available on the
market, as they're believed to be of better quality and will ensure your
experience is more secure.
A number of users have complained about issues regarding the
Glock 19 MOS plates and many others are shooting thousands of rounds with no
problems. A plate that is aftermarket from a reliable company, like the one
previously mentioned is always a wise choice.
Controls, safety features The only safety that is in this
Glock 19Gen 5MOS outside is the trigger security.
It's to keeping the gun secure and is common Glock gun safety
that is triggered. We've spoken enough about that, and most people are aware of
what they are and how they function.
Controls
Glock 19Gen 5 Review Magazine Public Release
It is mounted to the left of the firearm to accommodate
shooters who shoot right handed, however it can be reversed, meaning you can
change it to the opposite side.
The mag release factory comes with is fine, however, you
will need break your grip to access it, at the very least I do that with my
medium to large hands, which is why I believe the majority of shooters will.
It's sharp at the top and it's nearly completely recessed
into the frame.
There are many alternatives from a variety of top businesses
to replace this component.
The past time, when using Gen 3 Glocks, I've felt it was
necessary to swap the magazine release straight immediately as it was too deep
and was precise.
It was difficult to use. I believe that it's time to
upgrade. Glock Gen 5 is a huge improvement over the previous model and also
that of the Glock Gen 4 frankly.
Therefore, I don't see any reason to replace this release
with the Glock 19 Gen 5 magazine release. It's good to have options that can be
upgraded and you'll likely be happy to have an upgraded mag release.
Stop slide
Glock is marketing their Glock Gen 5 19 in the US as with a
slide stop but it is not actually a slide release as well as the Glock Academy
as of the last time I checked, has always instructed people to manipulate the
slide with the slide instead of making use of the slide stop in order to lower
the slide.
The majority of us will end up using the slide stop in
itself.
I'm aware that I personally like using a slide stopper to
lower the slide rather instead of damaging the slide.
A very nice aspect of Gen 5 Glock Gen 5 is the slide stops
are ambidextrous , and they appear identical on both side. Gen 5 Glock
19ambidextrous slide releases Gen 5 Glock 19ambidextrous slide releases are
suitable, but they're far from excellent.
They're not too slick.
If you don't know a method that works then you may have
difficulty dropping the slide. The slide release is inserted inside a cutout on
the left-hand edge of the slide.
That's why it makes the slide lock back, and makes it
simpler for shooters with right hands to lower the slide, as opposed to
shooters who shoot left-handed due to the leverage.
However, shooting with a left hand will not experience any
issues dropping the slide onto Glock 19 Gen 5. Glock 19 Gen 5. Glock sells
slide releases that they utilize for the Gen 5 Glock 34 that is a great
addition to your 19 if are able to find the most powerful slide stopper.
However, there are many options for aftermarket products.
Glock 19 Gen5 Review of Overall Ergonomics
The user-friendly features of Glock are very great. There's
a good chance that lots of people oppose that claim.
The majority of shooters I've observed aren't the most
skilled shooters.
Even those who hate Glock or are enthralled by Glock
typically shoot the guns with great accuracy, and I've seen a number of people
go to classes using guns that are thought to be ergonomically superior.
When they're presented with the Glock the gun, they can
shoot it better. Glock might not feel as comfortable in your hand however it
allows you to have the right leverage on the gun.
If there's a single area where I'm able to be unhappy about
the design of the Glock 19Gen 5 it's that slide.
Serrations of the slide aren't all that brutal. And ,
depending on the version you choose, you might only have the rear serrations.
Glock has variations that have both forward and rear
serrations. However, the serrations are the same across the entire slide. They
aren't as sufficient or sharp enough to my liking.
If your hands were sweaty, wet or you were bleeding, then
you may struggle to move the slide using the smooth finish that Glock utilizes
for these slide.
It's possible to fix it If you're willing to pay the amount
to have the slide milled to your specifications.
Trigger
A trigger for the Glock 19 Gen 5 in my opinion is certainly
one of the most impressive characteristics of the gun.
Many have been complaining about Glock triggers. This time
Glock numerous triggers, though not the most impressive from a dry-fire
perspective can be very effective with live-fire.
The trigger comes with a nice roll break and is a nice
feature I would rather have for a firearm that is designed to be defensive.
Glock 19 Gen 5 Review Trigger Pull |
If you are on the trigger you'll be filling some heavy take up prior to reaching some sort of wall, and then from that wall, you'll feel a some creep when it enters an elongated break. It's a great trigger for the factory Glock trigger. It's also lighter than you'd expect.
Does it have the potential to be a tampered-out
competition-style trigger? No, but it's perfect for defensive scenarios.
A lot of excellent shooters I have met who like to complain
about Glock triggers are having a tough time boasting about Glock Gen 5. Glock
Gen five trigger. I'd recommend Glock Gen 5, Glock Gen 5 or a Gen 4 or Gen 3 to
use the trigger on its own and not even including the other amazing features it
provides.
Then, starting from the reset to the reset, the reset
trigger on triggers on the Glock 19 trigger will be quick and positive. It goes
back to the initial wall, where you feel the slight creep when you are in your
rolling brake.
I cannot say enough positive words about the factory trigger.
Rail
One thing I'll need to note regarding one thing I will need
to mention on the Glock 19 Gen 5 is the rail. The rail of the Glock 19 Gen 5 is
an Picatinny-based rail, while the older Glock rail was more of a private.
They're very comparable, but they're not identical, but the
Glock is on is a bit taller. Glock Gen 5 rail is slightly taller from the
perspective from the bottom of the rail , to above the slides.
It could also alter the compatibility of your holster, particularly
in the case of lights on your gun, Kydex or leather holster typically flexes
enough to fit the Glock 19 holster with just the rail.
However, if you want to add an additional light to the mix
most times, you'll need purchase a holster designed specifically for that gun
or one that is designed to fit both Glock Gen 3, Gen 4 Gen 4 as well as Gen 5
variants.
Glock 19 Gen 5 Review Aesthetic
Glock 19 Gen 5 Glock 19 Gen 5 is an Glock that you can
choose either like the style or not in any way.
I do believe they're prettier than older Glock versions
However, it's the same Glock.
Shooting
Its Glock 19 Gen 5 is an extremely reliable performer on the
range. Shooting with this gun is a absolute pleasure. It's a very smooth
shooting gun, and tends to have a slightly more recoil felt than other choices.
However, the recoil is straight back, and the slide
re-cycles extremely fast, which makes it simple to follow up your shots and
maintain a steady rate of firing.
Personally I consider it to be one of my most-loved shooting
guns.
It's not as easy to shoot as that of Sig P320 series, but it
does seem to be a little more quickly.
The majority of people who pick up the Glock do not know how
to hold the gun, they could face certain issues.
If you are familiar with how to operate the Glock Gen 5, it
is the Glock 19Gen 5 will serve you well.
Personally, I feel that I've seen an improvement in accuracy
with using the Glock Marksman barrel. A lot of people would say I'm crazy
however it appears to be a significant difference.
Shooting this gun at distances of 75 and 100 yards isn't a
problem not at all.
It's an extremely precise handgun that is simple to shoot,
and I'm unable to think of any other improvements I'd like to add to the gun
other than the red dot.
This Glock Gen 5 MOS has everything covered in that area. Overall, this gun receives my highest recommendation. Tell me what you think of Gen 5 Glock 19 Gen 5 Glock 19 in the comments section.
