B+ Hallucinogenic Mushroom Bread
Years of studies and tests have resulted in these new Psilocybe cubensis mushroom grow kits. These kits are now much better than they were, and compared to the previous generation, the improvements are found in:
- A larger surface becomes more mushrooms
- Mas brotes/flushes*
- More resistant to contamination
- easier instructions
* Some strains produce more buds than others. The first three flushes are the biggest.

Meet the new and easy grow kit
The new Psilocybe cubensis mushroom grows kits are slightly different from those you know before. You will notice as soon as you open the box. In the plastic lid of the container, you will see a microfilter and an adhesive strip, and both pieces are important in the preparation phase in the laboratory before putting them out for sale. Therefore, these parts of the kit must remain untouched.
As in the previous kits, you do not need to add spores. The spores have developed in Mycelium within the substrate (Pan/cake) in the plastic container (Tupper).
How to store the grow kit correctly?
It is recommended to start the cultivation process as soon as possible. However, if you need to delay the start, you can store the grow kit inside a fridge (2ºC to 8ºC) for 6 weeks. Then, before putting it away but the kit inside a plastic bag, wrap it around it and close it well. This will prevent contamination that may be inside the refrigerator.
Grow Kit Contents
- 1x culture container (Tupper) – Contains the substrate with the active Mycelium (pan/cake)
- 1x Grow Bag – This bag has a microfilter that keeps contaminants out.
- 1x clip – To close the bag.
- 1x re-sealable bag – Where we will store the kit lid during the growing process to prevent contamination.
Also, you need
- Water vaporizer: It is necessary to regularly vaporize water inside the kit to maintain the humidity level.
- Potable water: For steaming and the soaking process.
- Clean environment: Work cleanly to avoid giving any other fungus or bacteria (microorganism) options to contaminate the kit.
We recommend using
- Sterile latex gloves
- Surgeon face mask
- Hand sanitizer
- surface disinfectant
- soaking bag
- Thermometer
- Thermal mat (when the room temperature drops below 18ºC)
How to prepare the environment and yourself before starting?
Close any open windows. The wind or current can carry microorganisms that would contaminate the mushroom crop.
When you take the Tupperware with the bread out of the cardboard box, put it on a disinfected surface. If this surface is not clean, microorganisms can attack the box and flourish inside, subsequently influencing the grow kit.
Make sure you work with clean arms and hands. We recommend using sterile latex gloves or a good hand sanitizer every time you handle the kit. Surgeon masks help keep you from breathing directly into the bread.
Get started with the process.
- Fill the container to the top with portable tap water. Close it with the lid and wait 12 hours.
- After 12 hours, open the Tupperware from one corner and pour all the water out.
- Obliterate the lid, rinse it and store it in the re-sealable bag. You can keep the bag with the lid in the cardboard box.
- Put the container with the bread inside the grow bag. The open part of the bag should face up.
- Bring the two sides of the open part of the to-grow bag together and fold them over a couple of times. Never cover the part of the microfilter.
- Put the two clips to keep the bag closed. And now you have the Psilocybe cubensis mushroom kit ready to start growing.
- You can put the bag with the kit inside the open cardboard box. Place it on top of the bag with the lid. This will protect the sides of the kit from sunlight, preventing the growth of mushrooms on these sides, which are difficult to harvest.
Temperature
The ideal temperature is 24ºC. Make sure the temperature does not drop below 18ºC or exceed 29ºC. To keep the temperature above 18ºC, you can use the thermal mat, and this product will place the kit at the ideal temperature. The thermal mat is an essential material for not very warm regions.
Light
The Psilocybe cubensis mushroom grows kit needs light to come to the surface. If you receive it that the mushrooms will grow. A few hours of artificial fluorescent light or indirect natural light rays are more than enough. Avoid direct light rays as they damage the Mycelium.
Water / Vaporization
The day after starting the process, you can vaporize the kit. Remove the clips and open the bag; spray water on the bag's walls, never directly on the kit. You can take about four sprays once a day. With vaporization, we help the kit also receive some fresh oxygen. As soon as you vaporize, close the bag well with the clips.
If conditions are optimal, the first mushroom tips will appear between days 5 and 16. Although it depends on the strain you grow, some cubensis strains are much slower growing than others.
Brotes / Flushes
The mushrooms come out in groups, and they can be small or large groups, depending on the strain you are planting. Each appearance of this group of mushrooms is called a bud or flush. Mushrooms almost never ripen at the same time. Several flushes can come out of each kit, the first two being the largest. Subsequently, shoots will come out that are smaller and smaller than the previous one.

Collect
The mushrooms are ripe and ready to pick when the veil between the cap and the stem has broken. Never wait for the hat to open fully. For collection, wear latex gloves or disinfect your hands, wrists, and forearms well. Take the ripe mushrooms and leave the others that continue to develop. To pick up the mushrooms, grab them with your thumb and forefinger from the base and rotate on it slowly until the mushroom separates from the bread. Don't pull on them, and you could damage the Mycelium and kill it. When you have collected most of the large mushrooms, remove the smaller ones and the tips to leave the surface clean and ready to start the process again.
Mushrooms that grow on the sides
The mushrooms grow in search of light. It is difficult to counteract this, and we can even allow it. Some growers wrap the sides of the kits in aluminum foil to keep them dark, but this is not always effective.
When the mushrooms grow there, we will remove them before starting the soaking process.
Clean your hands well! Take the kit out of the bag and place it face down in your other hand. Shake the Tupperware a little until the bread falls into your hand. Leave the Tupper on a disinfected surface. With your free hand, remove the mushrooms from the sides. You can start the soaking process when you have removed all of them but the bread back in the Tupperware.
Soaking
After all the mushrooms have been collected, you must prepare the kit for the next flush. Again, sanitize your hands or grab some latex gloves; Take the container out of the bag and fill it with water. Put the lid on tightly and put it in a wet bag. If you don't have a wet bag, use a plastic bag (although we recommend the damp bag) and wrap the Tupper well. Put the Tupperware in the fridge (2ºC to 8ºC) for 12 hours. This is called the soaking process, and it prepares the bread for the next flush.
Dry the grow bag by hanging it upside down during the soaking process. Placing it upside down also protects it from the entry of microorganisms. However, many growers prefer to use new grow bags for each flush.
After 12 hours, you can take the kit out of the fridge and unwrap it.
Next Flush
You must follow steps 3 to 7 described above in the section "Start with the process." A few days later, you will have a new outbreak. You usually get between two and three flushes with each grow kit. If you are an expert grower, you can even get more flushes.

To end
When you see that after the second flush, the mushrooms have not grown in 3 weeks or if the kit turns green, red, gray, or yellow, it means that it is no longer productive, and you can discard it. The color change is a sign of contamination with other fungi or bacteria so that no more Psilocybe cubensis will grow. Again, it can be thrown away.
Spores
When you take too long to pick the mushrooms off the bread, they may have split the cap wholly open, and a release of spores will then occur. The bread will turn black/purple (some strains of cubensis will turn red/brown) because of these spores. This is not a problem, just that the kit's appearance worsens.
sensitize yourself
Make responsible use of the cultivation of mushrooms and be well informed.
